Remarks

A data output stream lets an application write primitive Java data types to an output stream in a portable way. An application can then use a data input stream to read the data back in.

Constructors

DataOutputStream(IntPtr, JniHandleOwnership)

A constructor used when creating managed representations of JNI objects; called by the runtime.

DataOutputStream(Stream)

Creates a new data output stream to write data to the specified underlying output stream.

Properties

Class

Returns the runtime class of this Object.

(Inherited from Object)
Handle

The handle to the underlying Android instance.

(Inherited from Object)
JniIdentityHashCode (Inherited from Object)
JniPeerMembers
Out

The underlying output stream to be filtered.

(Inherited from FilterOutputStream)
PeerReference (Inherited from Object)
ThresholdClass

This API supports the Mono for Android infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

ThresholdType

This API supports the Mono for Android infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Written

The number of bytes written to the data output stream so far.

Methods

Clone()

Creates and returns a copy of this object.

(Inherited from Object)
Close()

Closes this output stream and releases any system resources associated with this stream.

(Inherited from OutputStream)
Dispose() (Inherited from Object)
Dispose(Boolean) (Inherited from Object)
Equals(Object)

Indicates whether some other object is "equal to" this one.

(Inherited from Object)
Flush()

Flushes this output stream and forces any buffered output bytes to be written out.

(Inherited from OutputStream)
GetHashCode()

Returns a hash code value for the object.

(Inherited from Object)
JavaFinalize()

Called by the garbage collector on an object when garbage collection determines that there are no more references to the object.

(Inherited from Object)
Notify()

Wakes up a single thread that is waiting on this object's monitor.

(Inherited from Object)
NotifyAll()

Wakes up all threads that are waiting on this object's monitor.

(Inherited from Object)
SetHandle(IntPtr, JniHandleOwnership)

Sets the Handle property.

(Inherited from Object)
Size()

Returns the current value of the counter written, the number of bytes written to this data output stream so far.

ToArray<T>() (Inherited from Object)
ToString()

Returns a string representation of the object.

(Inherited from Object)
UnregisterFromRuntime() (Inherited from Object)
Wait()

Causes the current thread to wait until it is awakened, typically by being <em>notified</em> or <em>interrupted</em>.

(Inherited from Object)
Wait(Int64)

Causes the current thread to wait until it is awakened, typically by being <em>notified</em> or <em>interrupted</em>, or until a certain amount of real time has elapsed.

(Inherited from Object)
Wait(Int64, Int32)

Causes the current thread to wait until it is awakened, typically by being <em>notified</em> or <em>interrupted</em>, or until a certain amount of real time has elapsed.

(Inherited from Object)
Write(Byte[])

Writes b.length bytes from the specified byte array to this output stream.

(Inherited from OutputStream)
Write(Byte[], Int32, Int32)

Writes len bytes from the specified byte array starting at offset off to this output stream.

(Inherited from OutputStream)
Write(Int32)

Writes the specified byte to this output stream.

(Inherited from FilterOutputStream)
WriteAsync(Byte[]) (Inherited from OutputStream)
WriteAsync(Byte[], Int32, Int32) (Inherited from OutputStream)
WriteAsync(Int32) (Inherited from OutputStream)
WriteBoolean(Boolean)

Writes a boolean to the underlying output stream as a 1-byte value.

WriteByte(Int32)

Writes out a byte to the underlying output stream as a 1-byte value.

WriteBytes(String)

Writes out the string to the underlying output stream as a sequence of bytes.

WriteChar(Int32)

Writes a char to the underlying output stream as a 2-byte value, high byte first.

WriteChars(String)

Writes a string to the underlying output stream as a sequence of characters.

WriteDouble(Double)

Converts the double argument to a long using the doubleToLongBits method in class Double, and then writes that long value to the underlying output stream as an 8-byte quantity, high byte first.

WriteFloat(Single)

Converts the float argument to an int using the floatToIntBits method in class Float, and then writes that int value to the underlying output stream as a 4-byte quantity, high byte first.

WriteInt(Int32)

Writes an int to the underlying output stream as four bytes, high byte first.

WriteLong(Int64)

Writes a long to the underlying output stream as eight bytes, high byte first.

WriteShort(Int32)

Writes a short to the underlying output stream as two bytes, high byte first.

WriteUTF(String)

Writes a string to the underlying output stream using modified UTF-8 encoding in a machine-independent manner.

Explicit Interface Implementations

IJavaPeerable.Disposed() (Inherited from Object)
IJavaPeerable.DisposeUnlessReferenced() (Inherited from Object)
