It is no longer necessary to provide a Xamarin Test Cloud API key for local testing.

Overview

In addition to running Xamarin.UITests in the cloud to test on multiple devices, they can also be run locally against a device or simulator. When these local test are runs Xamarin.UITest will attempt to authenticate the user over the internet using a Test Cloud API key. To facilitate offline usage once the initial authentication is complete, Xamarin.UITest will cache the results of the validation for a week.

Starting with Xamarin.UITest 1.1, it is no longer necessary to provide a team API key when running tests locally. If you receive a warning that an API key is missing, please upgrade to the most recent Xamarin.UITest NuGet package.

Xamarin Workbook

If it's not already installed, install the Xamarin Workbooks app first. The workbook file should download automatically, but if it doesn't, just click to start the workbook download manually.
